Nerja
Nerja is the most typical village of the ‘Costa del Sol’ which has skillfully managed to avoid mass high rise tourism. Located at the foot of the Almijara and Tejida mountain range and overlooking the Mediterranean.
Motorway access is relatively recent and is just 45 minutes from Malaga airport, 1 hour from Granada and 1h30 from the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada.
Nerja still retains the appearance and feel of a typical Andalucian seaside village, characterised by its narrow streets, whitewashed houses, balconies and flower gardens, not forgetting the famous Balcony of Europe a palm fringed promontory that offers a truly panoramic view of the Costa Tropical and mountain range of the Sierra Tejida and Almijara.
Nerja is also famous for its tourism infrastructure, an example of which is the famous ‘Capistrano’ urbanisation famed for its manicured communal gardens and swimming pools all of which have easy access to Burriana Beach.
A few kilometers from Nerja can be found the beautiful and typical ‘white villages’ of Frigiliana and Torrox, perched in the mountainside with stunning views of the Mediterranean…
